Change order software

Change orders that trace back to the work, not a blank form.

Revecta converts priced field work into a change order, sends it for no-login customer approval, and keeps every revision on the record -- so a disputed number never becomes a guessing game.

The change order lifecycle

  1. 1

    Draft

Created from a priced T&M ticket -- line items and total carry over, not retyped.

  2. 2

    Internal review

Office reviews scope and pricing before anything goes external.

  3. 3

    Sent

A no-login review link goes to the customer or GC -- no account for them to create.

  4. 4

    Viewed / Questioned / Approved / Rejected

The customer's actual response, timestamped the moment it happens.

  5. 5

    Revised

A questioned or rejected order gets a new version -- the prior amount and reason are preserved, never overwritten.

  6. 6

Ready to bill -> Invoiced -> Paid

Tracked through to close, so nothing approved quietly stalls before billing.

What's actually different here

Built from field evidence, not a blank form

A change order here starts as a priced T&M ticket -- the labor, material, and equipment lines, and the photos and field notes behind them, carry straight through instead of being re-entered by hand.

Formal revision history, not a silently-edited total

When a customer questions or rejects a number, revising it creates a new version with the prior amount and a stated reason -- the change order's own record always shows what changed and why, not just the latest figure.

No-login customer approval

A secure, token-based link lets a GC or customer review scope, line items, and price, then approve, ask a question, or reject -- no account, no password, on their end.

A real audit trail

Every status change and customer action is logged with who did what and when. Nothing here is edited or deleted after the fact.

Role-gated pricing

Field and foreman roles can see the scope and status of a change order without seeing commercial pricing -- enforced on the server, not just hidden in the interface.

Questions

Does a change order have to start from a T&M ticket?

Yes, today -- change orders in Revecta are created by converting an already-priced T&M ticket, so the commercial numbers and the field evidence behind them are always linked back to real captured work.

How does the customer approve it?

You generate a no-login review link from the change order's detail page and send it to whoever needs to respond. They see a clean, external-facing summary -- scope, line items, total -- and can approve, ask a question, or reject.

What happens if the customer disputes the price?

You revise the total with a stated reason. That creates a new version -- the prior amount is preserved in the record, not overwritten, and the change order returns to the ready-to-send stage so it can go out again.

Does this replace our accounting or scheduling software?

No. Revecta tracks the change order through approval, not through your general ledger or your project schedule. It's built to sit alongside the accounting and scheduling tools you already use, not replace them.
